1. Purpose
These Terms govern the relationship between Brunch9 ("Company") and users with respect to the use of the "Maeum Hanjul" (dailymaum.com) Android app and web service ("Service"), including the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of each party.
2. Definitions
- "Service" means the card-based short-text Android app and web service (dailymaum.com) provided by the Company.
- "User" means any person who uses the Service under these Terms.
- "Card" means a content unit composed of one image and one short text, classified into categories such as health tips, lifestyle tips, and humor.
- "Saved" means the feature that collects cards the User has liked or bookmarked.
3. Effect and Modification
These Terms apply to every User of the Service.
The Company may amend these Terms within the scope of applicable law and will provide notice in the App or on its website prior to any amendment taking effect.
4. Services Provided
The Company provides the following services:
- Card-based short-text content feed (health tips, lifestyle tips, humor, etc.)
- Saved (likes / bookmarks) feature
- Daily push notification at a time the User chooses
- Sharing to external messengers and social networks (e.g., KakaoTalk system share)
- Web card pages (dailymaum.com/card/{id})
- Free operation supported by AdMob ads
The Company may change the content of the services for operational or technical reasons.
5. Fees
The Service is provided free of charge and may display ads through Google AdMob. If a paid policy is introduced for additional features in the future, prior notice will be given and the User's consent obtained.
6. Nature and Limits of Content
Card content provided through the Service is intended for general information and light comfort/entertainment, with the following limitations:
- Not medical or health advice. Health-tip cards are general reference information; consult a qualified medical professional for diagnosis, treatment, or medication.
- Not legal, financial, or tax advice. Outcomes from lifestyle tips may vary depending on individual circumstances.
- Some content is produced using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The Company makes reasonable efforts to verify accuracy but does not guarantee the completeness or correctness of all information.
7. Obligations of the User
The User shall not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service;
- Interfere with the normal operation of the Service;
- Reproduce or distribute card content received through the Service for commercial purposes without permission;
- Click ads abnormally or otherwise generate invalid traffic;
- Use the Service to infringe the rights of others (copyright, image rights, reputation, etc.).
8. Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights in the Service's design, card illustrations, font licensing, and software belong to the Company or its rightful licensors.
Users are free to share links to card pages (dailymaum.com/card/{id}) via messengers or social networks, but downloading the images and redistributing them as one's own content is prohibited.
9. Advertising
The Company displays ads through Google AdMob to support the free operation of the Service. For details about data collection and use related to advertising, please refer to Section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
10. Service Interruption
The Company may temporarily suspend the Service in the following cases:
- Equipment maintenance, scheduled inspection, or rollout of new features
- Outages of external services such as Firebase or AdMob
- Force majeure events such as natural disasters or power outages
The feed and push notifications require a network connection. However, on-device data such as likes/bookmarks remains accessible without a network.
11. Disclaimer
The Company is not liable for failure to provide service due to acts of God or other force majeure events.
The Company is not liable for service disruptions caused by the User or by the User's device environment (Android settings, notification permissions, data restrictions, etc.).
Card content is provided for general information; the Company is not liable for outcomes resulting from the use of such content for decisions in medical, legal, financial, or other specialized matters.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Disputes between the Company and the User shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Such disputes shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
