1. We Collect No Personal Data
Brunch9 ("Company") designed "DharmaPop" (Korean: 법문한줄, the "App") on the principle of handling no personal data at all.
- The App requires no sign-up or login and does not collect directly identifiable information such as name, phone number, or email address.
- No advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking tools are used.
- The App is fully offline — it does not even use the INTERNET permission. No data is ever transmitted to any external server.
2. Data Stored Only on Your Device
Saved verses, records of verses already seen, notification time, and preferences such as theme and text size are stored only on the User's device and are never transmitted anywhere, including to the Company.
Uninstalling the App removes this data as well.
3. How Content and Notifications Are Handled
- All verses and reflections are bundled within the App, so no server communication or internet connection is required to read the content.
- The daily verse notification is a local notification scheduled and delivered on the device at the time the User chooses. Nothing is stored on or sent from a server for notifications.
4. System Permissions
The Company uses only the following system permissions to provide core features. The User may decline or change any of these permissions at any time.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) | Display the daily verse local notification |
| Boot completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) | Restore the notification schedule after device restart |
The INTERNET permission is not used.
5. Third Parties and Data Processors
Since no personal data is collected, no personal data is shared with third parties or entrusted to external processors.
6. User Rights
- Notification permission can be revoked at any time in Android system settings.
- Uninstalling the App immediately removes all on-device data.

7. Children Under 14
The App does not require sign-up and does not collect personal data from any user, including children.
8. Source of the Texts
The texts in the App are the Company's own new Korean translations based on public-domain sources such as the Dhammapada, the Sutta Nipāta, and the Heart Sutra (Korean translation © DharmaPop). Attribution is displayed on the relevant screens in the app.
